Domaine l’Enclos Chablis
The 2018 Chablis is a sympathetic sip this time of year — its beautiful golden straw color invites you in, with legs that speak to low sugar, medium alcohol, and fresh acidity making for a well-balanced wine. The nose confirms its liquid sunshine status with notes of bright, tart lemon; dry, woody hay; and a warming mineral smell, like gravel on a hot day. On the palate, it transforms to a more austere lemon curd and the minerality of river stones. It’s clean and fresh, with a gentle buttered popcorn finish rounding out a shining example of Chablis.
